Galaxy mergers play a fundamental role in shaping our Milky Way and the universe as we know it. These intense collisions produce powerful bursts of star-formation and provide food for growing black holes. With the Hubble Space Telescope, we have studied how galaxy mergers have transformed our universe over the past 10 billion years.
