Marc Postman, astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute, gives a talk on the future of space-based astronomy beyond the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which is scheduled to be launched in 2018 and will be the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. Dr. Postman discusses the motivations, technologies, and possible science results of space-based astronomy missions such as the ATLAST telescope that may follow the Webb mission.
